Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly preparing to form a trio of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar next season.
No one thought that Messi would actually leave Barcelona, the club he played for for 21 years.
During that time, Messi has made gold in the world of football, including winning the Ballon d’Or six times.
La Pulga, Messi’s nickname, has scored 672 goals in 778 appearances during those 21 years.
He also presented a series of prestigious trophies to the Blaugrana, including 4 Champions League trophies and 10 Spanish League trophies.
However, he had to end his journey at the Catalan giants after his contract was not renewed this summer.
The Argentine superstar then decided to join the French giants, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG)
With the French capital club, Messi signed a two-year contract with an option for a year extension.
The arrival of Messi makes PSG now have the most lethal trio in the world along with Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
However, according to French journalist Thibaud Vezirain, Mbappe is reportedly not happy with Messi’s arrival.
“Kylian Mbappe wants to leave, he has asked for an exit bonus and he doesn’t want to extend his contract,” Vezirain said.
“Either he transferred to Real Madrid this summer, or he will join them on a free next season.”
“He has told important people in the team that he is not interested in playing with Messi,” he added.
One proof that the two are not close is Mbappe’s silence on the arrival of Messi.
That is very different from the attitude of Neymar who celebrates Messi’s arrival on his personal social media.
He said that Mbappe had asked PSG to be sold to Real Madrid, either this summer or next season.
In fact, PSG president Nasser Al-Khalaifi recently confirmed that Mbappe wants to stay at PSG.
“Mbappe? He is a PSG player, he has said publicly that he doesn’t want to leave the team,” said Al-Khelaifi.
However, the news that Mbappe intends to leave PSG actually triggered the latest news that was more surprising.
Reported by SuperBall.id from AS, PSG have agreed that the French national team bomber will go to Real Madrid.
However, they will not let him go to Real Madrid until the summer of 2022 or when his contract expires.
The report says that PSG have also prepared a replacement for Mbappe for next season.
Surprisingly, PSG will reportedly seek to sign Ronaldo for free from Juventus.
Like Mbappe, the Juventus superstar will be on a free transfer next summer.
Two football superstars, namely Messi and Ronaldo, also have a great opportunity to play together before retiring.
In addition, the French giants will also form a dream front trio filled with Messi, Ronaldo and Neymar.
For information, the three players occupied the top podium at the 2015 Ballon d’Or award.
Messi won the edition with 41.3 percent of the vote, Ronaldo second with 27.7 percent and Neymar third with 7.8 percent.
Uniting the three players seems to have always been the dream of Al-Khelaifi as well as many football fans.
So, will PSG with Al-Khelaifi really make that dream attacking trio come true?
The answer will only be known in the summer of next year.
