Residents beat TNI generals in Garut, because he raised a machete first – Viral & Trending

The chaotic two-star general who claimed to be beaten by residents in Sukalaksana Village, Semarang District, Garut, turned out to be an active officer in the Indonesian Air Force. He was later mentioned with the initials YIS.

The report itself has now been submitted to the West Java Regional Police, where the officers are trying to investigate the case. In the midst of the incoming reports, now circulating a letter from a local village detailing the chronology of the incident.

In a letter released by the village office, this incident apparently began when YIS forced residents to dismantle the road iron stakes, which were used to restrict the entry of large trucks.

In fact, he is said to have half forced the residents to dismantle, by pulling out a machete twice. The first moment was successful, when the residents finally chose to dismantle the stake.

But when other residents found out and didn’t accept it, he again took out a machete at the residents, until finally the residents who didn’t accept beat the two-star general from the Indonesian Air Force.

Chronology of citizens beating generals in Garut

It is said that the incident occurred on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at around 12.00 WIB.

“There has been a commotion at the fork in Jalan Waluran Lebak, when a car driver named YIS who claims to be a TNI general who lives in Bandung, but whose ID card is Jakarta, has forced residents at the location to dismantle the iron stakes on the roadside which serve to restrict the entry of large trucks. ,” wrote the letter.

Residents are said to have refused. However, YIS got angry and threatened residents with a machete. The frightened residents then obeyed YIS’s request to dismantle the iron pegs, and carried the road pegs in their cars.

However, the demolition of the road markers infuriated other residents. Around 150 residents then came to YIS to ask about its attitude in dismantling the road markers.

“However, YIS again threatened residents with a machete. Residents who were ignited by their emotions then responded to YIS’ threats with beatings,” he said.

On the one hand, the Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Kombes Erdi A. Chaniago said that his party together with investigators were trying to handle the alleged abuse case.

“We will process the report first, investigate it, the person concerned has reported it, it has been received,” said Erdi.
