The flashback that happened ten years ago started with Budi inviting partner one band, DRIVE, namely Dygo plus the inclusion of Lulud Pambudi, Demas and Ario (The Adams). This was the forerunner of the DBA personnel at that time.

In 2019, partner them, Yoni Wijoyo, a synthesizer player who is also a lighting engineer under the umbrella of the Indonesia Lighting Project (ILP). Thinking of inviting Budi to make another band, this is what underlies the idea of reviving DBA.

Showing the lighting-rock concept live

Conceptually, the appearance of the DBA made a significant change. In addition to playing live musical instruments, they also agreed to provide a special lighting system that was played live as well. Technically this is very supportive of the emotions of each song that is sung. It’s because of the equipment set lighting jockey held by their own personnel. It’s not enough to stop there, the DBA video clip is also beautifully presented, done directly by Yoni Wijoyo and the ILP team.

In fact, musically, DBA presents progressive rock music with the theme of social protest that exposes the facts of life for Indonesian people in general. For example, as presented in their latest song ‘Everyone May Be President’.

Budi said, “There are too many differences of opinion based on uncertainty about the root of the problem, hoaxes that are getting bolder, and no longer heeding social rules and ethics. It’s as if everyone can become president.”
