Allegri hopes McKennie won't follow in Ronaldo's footsteps leaving Juventus

Crazybola.com – Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri did allow Cristiano Ronaldo to leave Turin but that doesn’t seem to be the case for American midfielder Weston McKennie who is expected to stay.

Turin giants Juventus are certain to lose their star, Cristiano Ronaldo this season after the player decided to leave and did not want to stay even though his contract still had one year left. The certainty of CR7’s departure has even been revealed by the coach of I Bianconeri, Massimiliano Allegri in his press conference.

In his talk to the media reported by Football Italia, Allegri did reveal that Ronaldo’s departure was a natural thing to happen in football. However, if the coach doesn’t mind the departure of the Portuguese superstar, the opposite is true for American midfielder Weston McKennie.

Reportedly will be released by Juventus this summer to provide additional funds and space for the Bianconeri to bring in new players, the future of McKennie has indeed become uncertain. However, Allegri himself made sure that he did not want the former Schalke 04 player to leave because for him the player has good goal-scoring abilities and still has a lot of potential to develop.

Although he doesn’t want McKennie to leave, it’s not certain that the player will stay until the end of this summer’s transfer window because anything can happen. However, his patient Allegri indirectly refutes some notions that he does not want the 22-year-old midfielder to stay.

If McKennie stays it will be interesting to see if Juventus will still have the opportunity to bring in new players in the midfield. Indeed, the departure of Ronaldo can ease their financial burden, but of course more investment will be made in the front-line sector because they have to find a replacement for CR7.

In midfield the situation is not easy because Juve actually have quite a lot of players, especially after bringing in Manuel Locatelli. That’s why they are said to have to release one of the existing midfielders if they want to hunt for new players in that position.
