AC Milan vs Cagliari Prediction, Italian League Week Two, Monday 30 August 2021 – Looking for consecutive wins to start the new 2021/2022 Serie A season, AC Milan is determined to get the full points when they host Cagliari at the San Siro on Monday (30/8) early morning WIB.

While AC Milan managed to beat Sampdoria in the first week, Cagliari actually had to settle for a 2-2 draw against visitors Spezia.

Match Preview

AC Milan started with a win in their new Serie A season, as Real Madrid loanee Brahim Diaz scored the only goal at the Marassi that helped his side to a 1-0 win at Sampdoria.

The victory did not come easily with new goalkeeper Mike Maignan getting a lot of attacks from the home players, but in the end the defense led by Simon Kjaer was able to maintain his team’s back line despite receiving a total of 16 shots from Sampdoria.

The match also allowed Milan fans to witness the debut of the most recent players to join their favorite team such as Olivier Giroud who appeared as a starter on the cutting edge, while Alessandro Florenzi came off the bench.

Cagliari started their new season on Monday (23/8) WIT when they were almost humiliated by their visitors Spezia who went 0-2 ahead through goals from Emmanuel Gyasi and Simone Bastoni.

Luckily Joao Pedro came out as heroes with a brace within four minutes, leading them to salvage a meaningful 2-2 draw at the Sardegna Arena.

Meeting Record

AC Milan claimed 25 wins from their last 35 encounters, while Cagliari managed just one win and the other eight ended in a draw. Milan won 0-2 away from home last season before settling for a goalless draw at the San Siro.

Team News

The hosts remain without services Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Franck Kessie, who have been ruled out with knee and muscle injuries respectively.

The visitors will be without Riccardo Ladinetti and Marco Rog, who are also sidelined with muscle and knee injuries respectively.
