The movement of Paris Saint-Germain in the summer transfer market was indeed quite extraordinary because it was able to bring in many quality players including Lionel Messi. The arrival of the Argentine superstar had indeed made many people distrust because they still believed that Messi would stay at Barcelona no matter what.

One of the people who did not believe in the situation was PSG’s own retainer, Marco Verratti. Although the Italian national team midfielder knows Messi personally, he admits he still doesn’t believe that the superstar has actually joined the Ligue 1 giant.

Speaking in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Verrati admitted that the arrival of Messi was something extraordinary. The former Pescara retainer revealed that he still refused to believe it until he finally saw the existence of the Argentine national team star in Paris.

Although not someone who talks a lot, Messi is said to have a good personality. In addition, Verratti also called his new partner a champion and a person who is loved by many people even those who are not fans of Barcelona or PSG.

Verratti is very confident that Messi will not have any difficulties to become a starting player which is definitely important for PSG. Of course, the arrival of the Argentine star is expected to be able to lift the achievements of the French giants to the highest level in Europe, namely winning the Champions League title.

Although it is rumored to be in danger of losing Kylian Mbappe this season, but with the presence of Messi and Neymar, Verratti and many other stars, PSG remains one of the great forces. Because of this, this season can be a proving ground for Mauricio Pochettino’s children to be able to win titles in both Europe and Ligue 1 because they failed to do so last season.
