Believe it or not, not all diseases suffered by a person can be detected medically, one of which is another disease. Important for Parents knowing what other diseases are in children and infants, and how to prevent them from happening to your baby.
What is Ain’s Disease?
‘Ain is a disease or disorder caused by eye gaze due to jealousy or envy that other people unconsciously point at us. This is as explained by Al Lajnah Ad Daimah:
عان ا ابه لها : من اب العائن الشيء الخبيثة لى ا ا لى المَعِين
It means: “’Ain from the word ‘aana – ya’iinu which means: to be hit by something from the eye. It comes from the admiration of the person who sees something, then followed by a negative mental response, then the soul uses the medium of eye sight to channel its poison to the beholder, “ (Fatawa Al Lajnah Ad Daimah, 1/271).

Disturbances from ‘ain can take the form of illness, damage, or even death. Although some people will not believe it later, the fact is that this disease is mentioned in an authentic hadith that states its existence. As narrated in a Muslim hadith, where the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said:
العين لو ان ابق القدر العين
It means: “Ain really exists! If there is something that can precede destiny, really that ain can.” (HR. Muslim)
In other words, someone who is affected by this disease is usually caused by admiration but at the same time jealousy and envy. Satan then takes advantage of this opportunity to send arrows of hatred to the admired or hated person causing pain.
Symptoms or Characteristics of Ain Disease in Children
Who would have thought, this disease can actually interfere with children. When a child whacks, parents will certainly panic and go to a row of doctors for healing steps. In fact, the drugs that will be given have no effect because this disease is included in the non-medical group.
In infants, the initial symptoms are usually continuous crying without stopping. Furthermore, your little one suddenly does not intend to breastfeed for no apparent reason. If this is sustainable, of course, it will significantly affect the nutritional needs of children.
And, it is equally important to know that Ain’s disease can appear even if the culprit’s eyes have no intention of harming her, in other words, only admiring it.
Ibn al-Qayyim Rahimaullah explained, “The soul of the person who causes ‘ain may cause ‘ain’ disease without having to see.“
“Even sometimes there are blind people, then told about something to him, his soul can cause disease ‘ain, even though he did not see it. There are many causes of ‘ain that can be the cause of ‘ain, just by telling stories without seeing directly,” (Zadul Ma’ad 4/149).
