PSM Makassar coach, Milomir Seslija, still has doubts about his local strikers, namely Saldi and Reza Abdullah, to be relied on in the BRI Liga 1 2021-2022.
The 57-year-old tactician considers that the two of them are not worthy to be the ideal coating for the new foreign legion from the Netherlands, namely Anco Jansen.
Especially Saldi, who during the preparation of the BRI Liga 1 2021-2022 pre-season always filled the striker post in the PSM Makassar reserve squad in every internal game session.
“He did show positive developments but I think it’s better to play him in his original position as a winger,” said Milomir Seslija when contacted by INDOSPORT, Thursday (26/8/21).
“I don’t want to continue to rely on him as a striker because this decision is still a bit risky for both the team and himself,” added the man from Bosnia Herzegovina.
For your information, Saldi has always played as a striker and managed to score one goal when PSM Makassar participated in the 2021 Menpora Cup pre-season tournament.
Therefore, Milomir Seslija has submitted a request to the management of the PSM Makassar club that he really wants to add a local striker before the transfer market closes at the start of the season.
“We continue to work to bring in players in that position (striker) by using loan options from other clubs,” said Milo, his nickname.
Just to recall, PSM Makassar has qualified strikers in the 2020 Liga 1, namely Ferdinand Sinaga plus two naturalized players Ezra Walian and Osas Saha.
