Beritabali/ist/Five Sidetapa Residents Examined Regarding the Beating of the Dandim.
Their arrival was accompanied by a local community leader who is also a member of the Bali Provincial DPRD, Wayan Arta, and accompanied by the legal counsel of residents from the Berdikari Law Office, which was coordinated by Gede Pasek Suardika with Kadek Cita Ardana Yudi, Made Arnawa, Made Kariada, and Komang Nila Adnyani.
Their arrival was received by the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Buleleng Police, AKP Yogie Pramagita. After that, the residents immediately entered the investigator’s room at the General Criminal Unit I (Pidum) of the Buleleng Police Satreskrim, to undergo an examination of the case reported by the Buleleng Dandim.
On the sidelines of accompanying residents, Wayan Arta admitted that he came to assist residents who were asked for information regarding the incident. Arta also hopes that this legal process will run according to the applicable procedures, due to a misunderstanding between the citizens and the TNI.
However, Arta also admitted that he regretted that the previous peace efforts had been canceled. So, the residents took the initiative to report several TNI personnel about the incident to Denpom IX-3/Denpasar recently.
“Yesterday, because the Dandim had reported this incident. After a few days we waited for the peace effort, but it was canceled. Yes, we were forced to balance the Dandim’s report, the residents then reported. The report revolves around the actual incident,” said Arta, met at the Buleleng Police Station.
The inspection process for these five residents lasted almost 5 hours, from 11.00 WITA to 16.00 WITA. Currently these five residents of Sidetapa village are being investigated for their status as witnesses to reports from the Buleleng Dandim. During the examination, these five residents were accompanied by their legal representatives.
