Intention to fast arafah 2021.

This year, Eid al-Adha 1442 H falls on July 20, 2021. Before Eid al-Adha, Muslims usually participate in the fast of Arafah.

Besides being celebrated by all Muslims, Eid al-Adha can be a storehouse of rewards for anyone who welcomes it. One of the fields of reward lies in the virtue of carrying out sunnah fasting, Eid al-Adha and fasting Arafah 2021.

Well, this time HOPS will share the intention of fasting Arafah. Reported by the sound page, here are the intentions.

Nawaitu Shauma Ghadin ‘an ada’i sunnati Arafah lillahi ta’ala.

Meaning: “I intend to pass the sunnah of Arafah tomorrow because of Allah SWT”.

The recommendation to fast Arafah is also in accordance with the words of the Prophet Muhammad narrated by Muslim hadith:

“Fasting on the day of Arafah can erase the sins of the past two years and will come, and fasting Ashura (the 10th of Muharram) removes the sins of a year ago” (HR Muslim).

Dzulhijjah fasting series

In addition to fasting on the 9th of Dzulhijjah or the day before the celebration of Eid al-Adha, fasting on the first 10 days of the month of Dzulhijjah is also prioritized.

The series of sunnah fasting before Eid al-Adha itself begins with fasting Dzulhijjah on the 1st to 7th of Dzulhijjah. After that, the Tarwiyah fast was continued on 8 Dzulhijjah and ended with Arafah fasting on 9 Dzulhijjah.

So the implementation of the 2021 Arafah fast can be carried out tomorrow, July 19, 2021 (9 Dzulhijjah). Meanwhile, fasting tarwiyah July 18, 2021 (8 Dzulhijjah).
