Liverpool is just a thing of the past, Ozan Kabak PD returns to the Premier League

Crazybola.com – Liverpool may not be able to keep Ozan Kabak after six months on loan from Schalke. Now the Turkish player is back in the Premier League with promotion team, Norwich City.

Six months of solid performances at the Merseyside club last season, was not enough for Kabak to make his status as a Reds player permanent. He was indeed brought in by Jurgen Klopp from Schalke when his squad’s back line was smothered by player injuries.

Instead of getting a place in Klopp’s squad this season, the Reds sent Kabak back to Schalke at the end of last season, while Schalke couldn’t keep him.

The reason is, Schalke’s condition worsened and had to graze in the Bundesliga 2 this season. A few months back in Germany, Schalke, who was determined to release Kabak, finally returned the player Liverpool had relied on to England. Negotiations for his move to Norwich have reportedly been completed.

According to reports The Telegraph, as reported SB Nation, Norwich agreed a long-term loan deal with a purchase option at the end of the season. The 21-year-old will undergo a medical on Monday (30/8), and is expected to be introduced to the winless club at the start of this season.

At the beginning of the summer, Kabak was widely rumored to be moving to Leicester City. When negotiations then failed to reach an agreement, rumors continued to develop linking Kabak with a transfer to Newcastle United. In the end, the real interest came from Norwich – a promoted team still sinking in the bottom line.

Although the competition is still at the start of the season, Norwich are widely expected to return to the Championship next season once they gain promotion to the first tier of the season. Of course, the former Liverpool defender’s extraordinary game will be highly anticipated, until the opportunity for Norwich to stay in the Premier League remains open.

Together with Jurgen Klopp’s squad, Kabak appeared in nine Premier League matches last season, in addition to participating in defending the Reds in the Champions League. In this top European competition, Kabak was fielded against RB Leipzig – another club that was also reportedly interested in signing him, and when the Reds met Real Madrid in the knockout phase.

However, even though his game was not bad, Klopp decided not to make Kabak’s status permanent with the recovery of Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip this season.
