OFFICIAL!  Bayern Munich Sign Marcel Sabitzer from RB Leipzig, Contract Until 2025 – Bayern Munich have completed their second signing of the transfer market this summer after signing Marcel Sabitzer from RB Leipzig.

Midfielder Marcel Sabitzer has officially become Bayern Munich’s new retainer after completing his transfer from RB Leipzig worth IDR 254 billion, as confirmed by the club.

Interestingly that now means that two purchases Die Roten in the transfer market this summer, both of them came from their fiercest rivals in the title race for the last three seasons after previously also recruiting Dayot Upamecano for IDR 739 billion.

Even their current manager Julian Nagelsmann is also the former boss of RB Leipzig, who last season finished runners-up after two consecutive seasons before always finishing third in the German League final standings.

Marcel Sabitzer, whose contract at the Red Bull Arena expires in 2022, has now completed a move to Bayern Munich on a four-year contract that will keep him at the Allianz Stadium until the summer of 2025. He will wear the number 18 shirt at the club.

Oliver Kahn, CEO of FC Bayern, said of this transfer on the club’s official website, “Marcel Sabitzer offers everything FC Bayern players need. Besides that, it doesn’t take him long to adapt because he is well acquainted with the philosophy of our coach Julian Nagelsmann.”

While member of the club’s sporting board Hasan Salihamidzic added, “We are very pleased to have brought Marcel Sabitzer to FC Bayern. Marcel is a very good footballer, he has a great mentality, he is very ambitious and he takes responsibility on and off the pitch as captain of RB. Our coach knows him very well and what a great leader he is. We look forward to having him.”
