PSSI General Chair, Mochamad Iriawan, said that his party was conducting an investigation regarding the leadership of referees in Liga 1 2021.
Later, after the investigation is complete, Mochamad Iriawan will convey it to the public.
In the first two matches, there was an oddity in the referee’s leadership style.
During the Bali United match against Persik Kediri, Yudi Nurcahya acted as the main referee in the match at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), Senayan, Central Jakarta, Friday (27/8/2021).
In that match, Persik Kediri received a penalty kick which Youssef Ezzejjari failed to maximize.
His kick was blocked by Bali United goalkeeper, Wawan Hendrawan.
Judging from the replay, the penalty kick should have been replayed.
There are two reasons, the first being that Bali United defender Willian Pacheco had entered the penalty box before Youssef Ezzejjari kicked the ball.
Second, it was observed that Wawan Hendrawan did not step on the line before the ball was kicked by Youssef Ezzejari.
Wawan Hendrawan seemed to have advanced first and was able to read the direction of the ball that was shot by the Persik Kediri striker.
In those two mistakes, the referee didn’t see it and continued the game.
Bali United was able to win 1-0 over Persik Kediri through M Rahmat’s goal in the 83rd minute.
The referee’s decision also sparked controversy when Persipura Jayapura lost 1-2 to Persita Tangerang at the Pakansari Stadium, Cibinong, Bogor Regency, West Java, Saturday (28/8/2021).
Referee Fariq Hitaba annulled Persita Tangerang’s goal scored by Ahmad Nur Hardianto.
He assessed that Ahmad Nur Hardianto was in an offside position after the linesman raised the flag.
However, in the video replay, the position of the former Bhayangkara FC player does not look offside.
Ahmad Nur Hardianto also took advantage of the vomit ball from his partner Irsyad Maulana’s shot which was pushed away by Persipura Jayapura goalkeeper Geri Mandagi.
The controversy still continues in the match between Persipura Jayapura and Persita Tangerang.
The referee from Yogyakarta again annulled a goal scored by Persipura Jayapura striker, Yevhen Bokhasvili.
Judging from the replay, it can be seen that Yevhen Bokhasvili tried to approach Persita Tangerang goalkeeper Tri Hamdani when he wanted to take a kick.
Tri Hamdani, who was annoyed, failed to kick the ball and was immediately followed by Yevhen Bokhasvili to score against Persita Tangerang.
The goal was invalid according to Fariq Hitaba’s decision due to interference from Yevhen Bokhasvili to the former PSS Sleman goalkeeper.
The Persipura Jayapura players did not accept that the goal was disallowed.
The controversial decision took place again in the match between Bhayangkara FC and Persiraja Banda Aceh at the Indomilk Arena, Tangerang, Banten, Sunday (29/8/2021).
The penalty kick shot by Bhayangkara FC player, Ezechiel Ndouassel, should have been repeated after watching the replay.
It was observed that one of the Persiraja Banda Aceh players had entered the penalty box before Ezechiel Ndouassel kicked the ball.
Meanwhile, the position of Persiraja Banda Aceh goalkeeper, Fakrurozi Quba, is correct.
Ezechiel Ndouassel’s shot failed to be denied by Persiraja Banda Aceh goalkeeper and the goal was considered valid.
Bhayangkara FC finally won 2-1 over the 2021 Liga 1 promotion team.
In that match, Mustofa Umarela became the main referee.
The number of inappropriate decisions invites comments from Mochamad Iriawan.
The man who is familiarly called Iwan Bule admitted that PSSI was investigating the incident by the Referee Committee.
“What is clear is that I have had internal discussions and we will investigate according to the existing rules,” said Mochamad Iriawan.
The three initial matches of Liga 1 2021 will be a trial material which will later be evaluated by PSSI and PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB).
It is hoped that these three matches can qualify and the 2021 Liga 1 will continue to run until it is finished.
“Later the results will be in accordance with FIFA rules and we will inform you.”
“We are referring to the rules of FIFA, AFC and AFF.”
“Just wait for the investigation to be carried out,” concluded Mochamad Iriawan.
