Tan shares that his hobby is a way to relax from his work in the construction industry. According to him, looking at plants can spoil the eye.

“Every day I see the sun, rain, concrete, metal, when I come home I see fish, water, plants, fruits,” he said.

He added that the plants he maintains help bring his home to life when he has to live in a ‘concrete jungle’ like Singapore.
