1NEWS – Political observer Boni Hargens believes that the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) remains strong under the leadership of KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri.
One of the proofs, according to Boni Hargens, is the success of anti-corruption agencies in carrying out hand arrest (OTT) operations.
As is known, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) recently arrested the Regent of Probolinggo, Puput Tantriana Sari and her husband, the Deputy Chair of Commission IV of the DPR, Nasdem Faction, Hasan Aminuddin, regarding the sale and purchase of positions.

“KPK remains strong and will always be strong. It’s a system that works, not a one man show,” said Boni Hargens to 1NEWS, Wednesday (1/9).
According to him, the greatness of the KPK is not only formed because there is a person or figure in the anti-corruption system.

“It has nothing to do with the presence of one or two people in the system. I am optimistic that the anti-corruption agency will be stronger in the hands of KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri,” he said.
Not without reason, according to Boni Hargens, Firli Bahuri is a former deputy for prosecution who is well aware of how the independent institution works in eradicating corruption.

“Moreover, those who were arrested yesterday were politicians from the ruling party. That means the KPK is working professionally,” he said
