The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) again held the Anti-Corruption Film Festival – ACFFest 2021. Through an online launch, the seventh ACFFest was inaugurated by Wawan Wardiana as Plt. Deputy for Education and Community Participation at KPK RI. The launch of ACFFest was also completed with a discussion session on the theme of digital content creativity for the anti-corruption movement with Sammaria Simanjuntak (film director) and Amanda Valani (head of signature content Narasi) which can be accessed online and open to the public.
‘Bangkit Beraksi Berkreasi’ was chosen as the theme for ACFFest 2021, because the KPK hopes that the presence of this film festival can provide inspiration and enthusiasm for young people to rise up and continue to support anti-corruption through works and creativity in the midst of a pandemic situation. This is also in line with ACFFest’s goal, which is to invite young people to stay active, creative, caring, and critical in all their limitations to keep campaigning for the anti-corruption movement.
Seeing the increasing enthusiasm of ACFFest participants in the last three years and seeing the trend of digital content that is currently popular with young people, this year the KPK added one competition program, namely the anti-corruption Tiktok competition. This competition is open to the public and registration has been open since September 1 – October 31, 2021. The KPK has prepared a total prize of IDR 250,000,000 (two hundred and fifty million rupiah) for the winners. There are four categories of competition that can be entered, including:
– Fiction/comedy short film competition (maximum duration 15 minutes) – Documentary short film competition (maximum 15 minutes duration) – Animation short film competition (maximum 15 minutes duration), and – Anti-corruption TikTok Competition (maximum 3 minutes duration)
The KPK is also still opening up opportunities and inviting filmmakers to submit proposals for film ideas with the theme of anti-corruption values, lasting 10-15 minutes. Ten selected proposals will receive production funding assistance of Rp. 30,000,000.-, are entitled to participate Movie Camp Online and receive technical assistance from professional mentors. The ACFFest 2021 story idea proposal competition is open from 1 – 30 September 2021. Filmmakers will be given 2 months of film production time from October – November 2021.
Films that have been produced and rated, will then be screened on a series ACFFest Screening Day and also the awarding night for ACFFest 2021 which will be broadcast on one of the national TV stations, which will be held next December in the series of World Anti-Corruption Day (Hakordia). (cinemas)
