The Indonesian Women’s National Team players underwent a series of physical tests and bleep tests, Thursday (02/09/21). The activity took place at the Cibinong Mini Stadium, Bogor Regency.
The series of tests begins with a light warm-up on the mat, followed by some coordination movements in three small groups. After that, the players were measured the number of push-ups and sit-ups and running speed.
“Today, our coaching team conducted a test on the players to measure several things related to the speed, endurance, and VO2max of each player using the bleep test method,” physical coach Gaselly Jun Panam said.
“This needs to be done considering that there are several new players who have joined the squad, and there are also several others who have participated in the tournament before TC started,” he added.
Bleep test is the closing of the test series. The players are divided into two large groups, where each player must run in stages over a distance of 20 meters.
The Women’s National Team coach, Rudy Eka, admitted that he was quite satisfied with the results, although not all players took this test.
“Today’s test was not followed by some players because they had to follow the vaccination program for the second dose of injection. In general, I am quite satisfied with the results, because there are several players who have shown significant improvement,” he said.
“This means that they continue to practice and hone their physical abilities when the previous TC ended until this TC started,” continued Rudy Eka.
The Women’s National Team will undergo a training camp at the Cibinong Mini Stadium, Bogor Regency until 20 September. There were 30 players called up.
This training is in preparation for the 2022 Asian Women’s Cup Qualifiers which will start on September 27 in Tajikistan. The Indonesian national team is in Group C with Singapore and Iraq.
