Persita midfielder from Brazil, Harrison Cardoso took part in bringing Persita Tangerang to earn full points in the inaugural match of Liga 1 2021.
In the first match, the team nicknamed the Cisadane Warriors had to face one of the top teams, namely Persipura Jayapura on Saturday (28/8/2021).
Persita won the duel with a final score of 2-1 at the Pakansari Stadium, Cibinong, Bogor, West Java.
Harrison Cardoso’s first goal was contributed by the penalty spot when the game had only been running for 15 minutes.
This goal also marked his debut in the Indonesian competition.
Two minutes later, Persipura were able to equalize through Ramai Rumakiek’s header using Yevhen Bokhasvili’s pass.
Persita locked the win through Irsyad Maulana’s goal in the 23rd minute.
Harrison Cardoso’s appearance alone was quite attention-grabbing in the match.
He is able to carry out his duties well in setting the tempo of the game.
Harrison is also active in picking up the ball and opening up space for his teammates.
He admitted that he was happy to make his debut in Indonesia with positive results.
The player who was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil is even more ambitious to bring Persita back to achieve maximum results in the next match.
“My target is always to bring home the three points for Persita and play well to help the team,” Harrison said as quoted by Warta Kota.
The first goal in the opening party made the player numbered 31 so hungry for goals.
However, he assesses that his performance has not yet reached its maximum point.
Harrison needs a few more matches to speed up the adaptation process to Indonesian football culture.
“It’s always good to get a win at the start and score goals. It makes me more confident.”
“My form has been good, but I know I can improve again with my team-mates,” said Harrison.
