“The following players failed to get contracts when the transfer window closed.”

1NEWS – The transfer window has indeed closed. However, some clubs are still able to complete some of their business and register new players in their squad. The conditions are players without contracts with other clubs, aka free agents.

This is because a number of players are available on a free transfer. They are just waiting for a chance to prove themselves still have something to offer. Although it will not be easy, football is not mathematics that can predict a player’s career.

In this line there are former England national players. There are also Ballon d’Or nominees. So are some of the centre-backs who have been heavily rumored recently to be playing in North London.

Who are they? The following is the starting line-up of the best free agents in the Premier League 2021/2022 in the 4-2-3-1 scheme:

GK: Sergio Romero

No wonder Manchester United released Sergio Romero this summer. He managed to slip behind 38-year-old Lee Grant to snatch the goalkeeping power to fourth choice. The 34-year-old has 96 caps for Argentina, although his last cap came in 2018.

LB: Neil Taylor

On the left, Neil Taylor’s quality is reliable. Best known for his play at Swansea City, his career winded down at Aston Villa. But, at the age of 32 he still has a lot to offer.

CB: David Luiz

At centre-back we are looking for two players who may still have something to prove in the Premier League. David Luiz is a complete Brazilian. Unfortunately, he’s more known for his mistakes than his off-defence playing skills.

CB: Shkodran Mustafi

No tears were shed by Arsenal fans when Shkodran Mustafi followed him out of the Emirates Stadium this summer. But, until the transfer window closed, he did not have a new club. And, just a few hours ago, he was signed to Levante.

RB: Serge Aurier

At right-back is one of the surprises of this transfer window, Serge Aurier. The Ivorian has agreed a deal with Tottenham Hotspur to terminate his contract after four years in North London. He had been linked with a move to Barcelona. However, until August 31, 2021, his status is still unemployed.

CM: Jack Wilshere

Jack Wilshere will be the pedestal of the midfield. The player, who has 34 caps for England, has sadly revealed he is considering retiring after finding the club after his release from Bournemouth.

Currently, Wilshere trains at Serie B club Como. However, administrative problems related to Brexit and the European Union passport prevented the former Arsenal player from signing for the club belonging to the Djarum Group.

CM: Nabil Bentaleb

You may be surprised to learn that Nabil Bentaleb is only 26 years old. He started his career in England with Tottenham Hotspur and played for Newcastle United. However, he doesn’t have a club anymore, although in terms of quality he can still compete.

LW: Franck Ribery

There was a lot of attacking power in front of Wilshere and Bentaleb. One of them is Ribery. It was rumored with Lazio, Le Scarface had actually chosen Hellas Verona before the transfer window closed. However, everything is uncertain because Verona is still waiting for the results of the former Ballon d’Or nominee’s medical test.

AM: Hatem Ben Arfa

A good player, but his career continues to decline. Known for his time with Newcastle United, Ben Arfa is now unemployed after his contract with Bordeaux was not renewed.

RW: Gaston Ramirez

Gaston Ramirez is a former Middlesbrough and Southampton player. His contract with Sampdoria had just expired and the Uruguayan failed to land a new club.

ST: Daniel Sturridge

Former Liverpool and England star, Daniel Sturridge, deserves to be a targetman in attack. The 32-year-old last played a game 17 months ago, and recently trained with Spanish side Real Mallorca. However, it turned out that no contract was offered.
