The religious singer Opick was entrusted with the care and maintenance of the hair of the Prophet Muhammad SAW by the International Tariqah Ulema Council.
Secretary of the Council of Indonesian Tariqah Ulama (DUTI), Zubair Ahmad, explained the reason for the ‘Tombo Ati’ singer to protect the sacred hair.
The first reason is that Opick is a member of the DUTI board. For ownership, the hair is a joint asset of the Turkish and Indonesian International Tariqah Ulema Council. This means that Opick is only entrusted, not as the owner.
“No individual party may claim ownership of the sacred hair,” said Zubair Ahmad at Opick’s residence in the Pulo Gebang area, East Jakarta, Sunday (12/5/2019).
Second, Opick has promised and is strongly determined to spread love and longing for the Prophet Muhammad through the presence of this holy hair in the midst of the people later.
Third, Opick is willing and complies with all the provisions that have been agreed upon by the International Tariqah Ulema Council in maintaining and caring for holy hair as well as carrying out etiquette and ethics in maintaining the holy hair of the Prophet Muhammad SAW.
“In line with the aqidah ahlusunnah wal congregation and according to the guidance of the Koran and Hadith,” said Zubair.
Zubair said, the trust attached to Opick is lifelong. However, if in the future the existence of this sacred hair is not guaranteed for its safety and care, DUTI has the right to withdraw the opportunity.
“Then the Indonesian Tariqah Ulema Council has the right to withdraw the sacred hair deposit and return it to the main trust holder, namely the International Tariqah Ulema Council in Istanbul, Turkey,” he said.
Zubair said regardless of who and the background holding this deposit, hopefully the presence of this sacred hair will bring blessings to the nation and state.
