1NEWS, The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has brought 17 suspects in the alleged bribery case of selling and buying the position of village head (kades) which dragged Probolinggo Regent Puput Tantriana Sari to Jakarta. They will undergo intensive examination by KPK investigators.
Previously, 17 suspects who gave bribes in the case were questioned at the Probolinggo Police, Friday (3/9/2021). In the evening they were taken by bus to the KPK Building in Jakarta.
“Today, 17 suspects who gave bribes in the alleged corruption in the selection of positions within the Probolinggo Regency Government have arrived in Jakarta to be examined at the KPK’s Red and White Building. Next, a further investigation will be carried out by the KPK investigator team,” said Acting KPK Spokesperson Ali Fikri in his statement here. Jakarta, Saturday (4/9/2021).
On Thursday (2/9/), investigators confiscated a number of documents, electronic evidence, and money from searches at five locations.
“The investigative team, Thursday (2/9) has finished conducting searches at several places in the Probolinggo area, East Java. From this activity, the investigative team managed to secure a number of documents, electronic evidence, and some money,” said Ali.
Ali said the items that were secured would then be immediately analyzed for confiscation as evidence in the case.
Five locations were searched, namely the private house of the Probolinggo Regent, the official residence of the Probolinggo Regent, the Probolinggo Regent’s Office, the Krejengan Subdistrict Office, Probolinggo Regency, and the Paiton Subdistrict Office, Probolinggo Regency.
It is known that the KPK has named a total of 22 people as suspects in the case. As recipients, namely the Regent of Probolinggo for the period 2013-2018 and 2019-2024 Puput Tantriana Sari (PTS) and her husband, namely the Member of the Indonesian Parliament for the period 2014-2019 and 2019-2024 and served as Regent of Probolinggo 2003-2008 and 2008-2013 Hasan Aminuddin (HA).
Then, Doddy Kurniawan (DK) as the State Civil Apparatus (ASN)/Camat Krejengan, Probolinggo Regency, and Muhammad Ridwan (MR) as ASN/Camat Paiton, Probolinggo Regency.
While 18 people as donors are State Civil Apparatus (ASN) of the Probolinggo Regency Government, namely Sumarto (SO), Ali Wafa (AW), Mawardi (MW), Mashudi (MU), Maliha (MI), Mohammad Bambang (MB), Masruhen ( MH), Abdul Wafi (AW), Kho’im (KO). Furthermore, Ahkmad Saifullah (AS), Jaelani (JL), Uhar (UR), Nurul Hadi (NH), Nuruh Huda (NUH), Hasan (HS), Sahir (SR), Sugito (SO), and Samsudin (SD) .
Five suspects, namely Puput Tantriana Sari, Hasan Aminuddin, Doddy Kurniawan, Muhammad Ridwan, and Sumarto, have been detained. While 17 other suspects have not been arrested.
The bribe recipients are suspected of violating Article 12 letter a or Article 12 letter b or Article 11 of the Corruption Eradication Law (Tipikor) in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 1 of the Criminal Code.
18 people who gave bribes were suspected of violating Article 5 paragraph 1 letter a or Article 5 paragraph 1 letter b or Article 13 of the Anti-Corruption Law in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.
