newsbali/ist/Arriving in Bali, Ni Nengah Widiasih received a bonus.

The arrival of Ni Nengah Widiasih, the female weightlifter who won a silver medal at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics, was welcomed at the domestic arrivals terminal of I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Saturday (4/9/2021) afternoon.
Present to welcome them were the Deputy Governor of Bali, Prof. Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardhana Sukawati (Cok Ace) accompanied by the Head of the Bali Province Youth and Sports Education Office, Ketut Ngurah Boy Jayawibawa.

Dropped in the 41 kg class, the athlete who was born in Karangasem December 12, 1992, made Indonesia proud thanks to the best force of 98 kg in the final round which took place on Thursday (26/8/2021). The silver medal presented by Widiasih became the first medal for the Indonesian contingent at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics.

On behalf of the people and the Provincial Government of Bali, Deputy Governor Cok Ace conveyed his congratulations and appreciation for the proud achievements achieved by Nengah Widiasih in this world sporting event.

“Today is a happy day for us because one of our best daughters returns after participating in the Tokyo Paralympics with extraordinary achievements,” he said.

Deputy Governor Cok Ace stated that what Widiasih achieved not only raised the name of Bali, but also made Indonesia proud. Regarding the achievements, he specifically expressed his gratitude for the support of his parents and coaches for giving Widiasih the opportunity to hone his talents and abilities.

This ISI Denpasar professor encouraged Widiasih to continue practicing to improve his performance in the next championships. He added that what Widiasih achieved could be a motivation for others.
