Allegri ready to change formation for Juventus Juventus coach, Massimiliano Allegri is reportedly planning to make a tactical change to his team after unsatisfactory results in their first two games of the season.

Only drawing 2-2 against Udinese and losing 1-0 to Empoli, Juventus still haven’t won a single win in their first two games in Serie A. The situation seems to have made their coach, Massimiliano Allegri unsatisfied with his team’s performance and trying to find a way to improve it. can improve the team’s performance in the next matches.

According to reports from several media in Italy, Allegri is now thinking of ways to make a tactical and formation overhaul for the I Bianconeri. The former AC Milan coach is reportedly thinking about using a 4-4-2 scheme or returning to the three-man back format like the 3-5-2 he had used when he first faced the Turin giants.

Based on reports from Corriere dello Sport, with the 4-4-2 format the coach has plans to turn Federico Chiesa into a striker and partner with Paulo Dybala. The intention of this combination seems to be to provide a more fluid attack scheme because both Dybala and Chiesa are players who have creativity and good one-on-one dueling skills.

Meanwhile, plans to return to a three-man back format were floated by La Gazzetta dello Sport with the assumption that the coach was disappointed with the performance of their back line so far and wanted to strengthen it. With a 3-5-2 formation, of course Juve will be able to play their three best defenders at once, namely, Matthijs de Ligt, Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini.

However, the problem with playing all three directly means that the Bianconeri only have one Daniele Rugani as a back-up in the central defender position. Given the fact that Chiellini and Bonucci are not young anymore, it seems that it would be risky to play a formation that leaves them with only one pure central defender as a substitute at least until January.

However, Allegri must have tried to do his own calculations in order to get the right formula for his team. Juventus itself will face Napoli’s challenge in the continuation of the Serie A match after the international break next week.
