This skincare formula should not be used excessively
Dream – Anything in excess is definitely not good. It’s the same with skincare. It’s important to strike the perfect balance between hydration, moisturizing and exfoliation.
Caring for the skin is always fun and can be done anytime. It is important to pay attention to each formula in the skincare you use. Especially if applied every day.
There are some skincare formulas that are not recommended to use excessively. Anything?
1. Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs)
The benefits you get from AHAs are real and it’s often tempting to use them more often. Some products formulated with AHAs such as glycolic, lactic, and malic acids are intended for daily use but not all of them are the same.
“The recommended frequency of use depends on the concentration of the acid and how accustomed the skin is to acid or general exfoliation,” says Blair Murphy-Rose, a dermatologist in New York City.
Ideally, you should only use one product containing an AHA per session. If done excessively, there is a risk of triggering irritation.
