1NEWS/ist/voice.com/Junior High School Students Pass Pre-Medical Program at Harvard University
“My niece was accepted into Harvard’s Future Doctors Program. 8th graders were told to study genetics & immunology… oh my, I’m just drunk. Break a leg Bang Haidar!!!,” wrote Agung M. Rheza on his Twitter account, on Sunday, September 5, 2021.
The student’s full name is Abiyusyah Haidar Rainier. He and his mother Alfa Meutia told a series of selections and interviews with the Harvard University Summer School before being declared qualified.
Harvard’s Future Doctors Program is a program that equips participants with facts in the medical world. The program is delivered in the form of a two-week online course in September 2021.
“So the purpose of this program will be to introduce what can be done in the health sector. Because you don’t have to be a doctor to be involved in the health (field),” said Meutia.
The Bogor Raya School students will study genetic modules, endocrinology, immunology, hormones, and others. Meutia also explained that her son was really interested in biology, chemistry, and mathematics.
