1NEWS – Neymar da Silva Santos Junior was a surprise in the 2017 transfer market. The Brazilian superstar broke a world record when he signed for Paris Saint-Germain for 200 million euros from Barcelona.

Now, Neymar’s unique clause has been revealed. El Mundo revealed the 29-year-old would receive 541,680 euros (Rp 9.1 billion) per month if polite, timely, friendly and available to fans. The same clause prohibits him from publicly criticizing the club’s tactical arrangements.

Neymar’s contract requires him to ‘have the decency to greet fans before and after every game’. The former Santos man must avoid ‘bad comments about the team’s tactical choices’. He must also avoid ‘negative public comments about the club’.

Neymar was reluctant to comment on the unique clause. The captain of the Brazilian national team prefers to answer netizens’ criticism regarding his not ideal physique.

After being criticized for being overweight, Neymar returned to reply via social media to dismiss the claim. He showed off a photo of his stomach while training with the Brazil squad.

The Paris Saint-Germain striker became the target of fan criticism after beating Chile 1-0 in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, Friday (3/9/2021).

Neymar, and the rest of the Selecao, were deemed to have played poorly despite the win against Chile. Fans highlight that Neymar’s physique is less than ideal for an athlete, and suspect that is the cause of his poor form.

Therefore, Neymar rushed to show off his six pack abs in his Instagram posts. He wanted to emphasize that he had no problem with his weight, as netizens had previously accused him of.

“Did we play well? No! Did we win? Yes!” said Neymar.

“The jersey (which I wore against Chile) is (size) ‘L’. I have reached my ideal weight. In the next match I will ask for (jersey) size ‘M’,” he added.

Meanwhile, Brazil’s physical coach, Fabio Mahseredjian, defended Neymar when asked about the player’s physical condition.

“He had pre-season at PSG and only got 63 or 64 minutes to play, it’s not enough to demand him to be at his best,” Mahseredjian said.
