Tough Challenge for Ganjar Pranowo, 2024 Presidential Election Getting…

1NEWS – Esa Unggul University political communication observer Jamiluddin Ritonga revealed his analysis of the chances of Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo to become a presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election.

He assessed that Ganjar Pranowo was indeed worthy of being a presidential candidate because of his high electability based on the results of a survey of a number of institutions.

However, this opportunity will be met with political facts, including the question of Puan Maharani’s position which is quite strong within the PDI-P.

“Ganjar seems to be having a hard time getting a supporting party. In the PDI-P, he has to compete with Puan Maharani, a PDIP official and Megawati Soekarnoputri’s favorite daughter,” Jamiluddin said as quoted from JPNN.com, Monday (6/9).

According to the former dean of FIKOM IISIP Jakarta, Ganjar Pranowo had to fight to gain Megawati’s trust.

This is certainly not easy, because Puan has been prepared to run for the 2024 presidential election from the start.

Looking at the internal political map of PDIP, it is possible for Ganjar to become a vice presidential candidate, accompanying Puan as a presidential candidate.

“Ganjar even though his electability is much higher, he must be tolerant of accompanying Puan Maharani,” he continued.

On the other hand, according to Jamiludin, Ganjar Pranowo still has the opportunity to be promoted as a presidential candidate by other nationalist parties, but it will be very difficult.

“It’s just that for a presidential candidate it seems difficult considering that the general chairman of the nationalist party is also desperate to run for president,” he explained.

He gave the example of Golkar or Gerindra which would prefer to carry the general chairman as a presidential candidate, even though Ganjar Pranowo’s electability is high.

“In Islam-based parties, it will also be difficult to carry Ganjar as a presidential candidate. Because Anies Baswedan and Ridwan Kamil’s chances will be greater than Ganjar’s,” he said.

Therefore, Jamiludin continued, it is still too early to determine a person who is worthy of being a vice presidential candidate to accompany Ganjar in the 2024 presidential election.

“The opportunity for Ganjar to be carried is still unclear. This must be realized by anyone who hopes for Ganjar to become a presidential candidate in 2024,” he concluded. (mcr8/jpnn)
