One of them is Princess Anne, Prince Charles’ sister and Harry’s aunt. Princess Anne is said to have warned Harry not to marry the American woman.

“Princess Anne objected to the fact that Meghan is such a conspicuous person,” Royal Observer Lady Colin said in a YouTube video. He also added that Princess Anne thought Meghan was openly looking for attention so that really made Princess Anne dislike her.

Lady Colin also said, “Princess Anne’s attitude is very clear, she doesn’t think Harry should marry Meghan Markle. Princess Anne is a champion at ‘don’t marry that girl, she’s not the right fit, she’s the wrong person for us, she’s no good for the country, she’s the wrong person for the job’. Well, it turns out he was right.”

Not only Princess Anne, other people close to Harry also advised the prince not to rush into marrying Meghan. Meeting for the first time in 2016, Harry and Meghan’s relationship became serious very quickly. in the book Finding Freedom Written by Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, Prince William asked his brother not to rush into a serious relationship.

“You don’t need to rush. Take as much time as you need to get to know this girl,” William advised Harry.

The book also mentions that Harry’s old friend, Tom Inskip, gave similar advice. Inskip advised Harry to live with Meghan first before moving on to anything more serious.

However, Prince Harry ignored the suggestion. In May 2018, he married Meghan Markle. Two years later, the couple decided to leave the United Kingdom and move to United States of America.
