1NEWS – Regarding the case of sexual harassment, Ernest Prakasa made a scathing satire for KPI. This comic and director said that the institution often echoes morals but does not do self-introspection.
“Noisy talking about morals, forgetting to look in the mirror. The Indonesian Harassment Commission,” wrote Ernest Prakasa in his Instagram post, Friday (10/9/2021).
Ernest’s satirical remarks were made louder in the caption. “Please try to dodge, we will speak loudly,” explained the 39-year-old filmmaker.
In the next upload, Ernest Prakasa is also still highlighting cases of sexual harassment that occurred at KPI. He was furious with the news that the victim was told to sign a peace letter.
This incident began when MS, a victim of sexual harassment, got a call from one of the commissioners of KPI. He was asked to come to the office himself without being accompanied by a lawyer.
“According to the lawyer’s statement, the commissioner who called MS was not there. But there were KPI officials who were members of the internal investigation team, there were also alleged perpetrators of abuse,” said Ernest Prakasa who read the news on one of the media portals.
Ernest Prakasa couldn’t stop thinking when he heard the news. “Imagine, you are a victim of being met by people who harass you, and you can’t bring a lawyer,” explained the Comic 8 movie star.
At that time, MS was asked to sign a peace letter with contents that were detrimental to the victim. “MS must admit that sexual harassment never existed, reading this makes my chest tense. Today’s news is disgusting, disgusting,” said Ernest Prakasa.
Ernest Prakasa then asked the public not to be silent about this case. This is with the aim that MS can get justice.
“I invite my friends to guard this case. Do not let the perpetrators force the victim to act as if the suffering they experienced never happened,” he pleaded.
