bbn/ Price Falls Freely Triggered by Foreign Investors.

The price of chicken eggs is currently suspected to be in free fall in the market.
Chairman of the Association of People’s Breeders of the Archipelago (PPRN) Alvino Antonio revealed the cause of the drop in egg prices in the market in recent times.

Alvino said the decline in egg prices was triggered by the presence of foreign investors who took part in the cultivation activities of the poultry sector. As a result, there is an oversupply in the market which makes egg prices fall quite deeply.

“The decrease (price) is due to over supply (eggs). This has occurred since foreign investment companies (PMA) integrators have participated in cultivating an uncontrolled supply,” he said, quoted from, Saturday (11/9).

As a result, the price of eggs produced by smallholder farmers fell freely. In fact, the decline in egg prices reached Rp. 6,000 per kilogram (kg).
