1NEWS – After leaving Yamaha, now Maverick Vinales says Aprilia is better than the motorcycle bearing the tuning fork.
The tumult between Vinales and Yamaha ended in an agreement to part early, in the middle of the 2021 MotoGP season.
It didn’t take long for Vinales to find a new home, namely the Italian manufacturer, Aprilia Racing Team Gresini.

Vinales started his debut with Aprilia by sitting in 19th place during the 2021 MotoGP Aragon FP1 and FP2, Friday (10/9).
Launching from Crash, the Spaniard admitted that he was still in the process of adapting to conquer the RS-GP motorcycle.

“I’m happy and nervous at the same time. At least I made a big jump from FP1 to FP2 in terms of lap times, maybe later it will be even better,” he said.
“It’s a learning process, the way to get the best times is very different, I have a lot to learn,” he said.

Vinales also said that the motorbike he was riding was a setting similar to Espargaro and had not been tampered with.
