Presenter Boy William shares his thoughts on marriage. The initiator of the ‘Nebeng Boy’ event said that marriage was not a big thing and became a necessity.

But nowadays married it’s not a big thing. I don’t think it’s a big thing. I don’t think people need to get married. I think Just like Caucasians, life doesn’t have a problem, especially in today’s millennial era. Millennials today don’t depend on anyone,” he said, quoted from The Leonardo’s YouTube channel on Sunday (12/9/21).

Boy William also highlighted Indonesian culture where marriage is a must, especially if you have children.

“Indonesian culture, you have to get married first before having children. If you have children first, you are afraid that your child will not be admitted to school. And people talk about it too.”

Despite his views, Boy feels that he can’t live with his partner without marriage. According to him, it can be a scourge for the family.

“I can’t (not get married), I’m ashamed too crazy. If I’m okay, my family is like being thrown in the face, you know what that means?’

Boy William already has a fiancĂ© named Karen Vendela and plans to get married. Both of them had planned a sacred day on July 17, 2021 ago. However, due to the Implementation of Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) until July 20, Karen and Boy decided to postpone the wedding again. This is the second time they have postponed their marriage after “failing” in 2020 and also because of the Corona pandemic.

Recently, Karen joined in criticizing people who do not believe in the existence of the Covid-19 virus. Through reels Instagram, Karen shared a video of her dancing while showing her fingers as an expression of annoyance.

“For those who don’t believe in the existence of covid, those who are blaspheming and want to get to know them, how about volunteering at the hospital to take care of covid patients, helping with the funeral of Covid’s corpses, and getting along with Covid patients,” he wrote.
