1NEWS, Evander Holyfield’s decision to return to the boxing ring is considered stupid and could endanger his life. The fight lasted less than two minutes after being knocked out by former MMA champion Vitor Belfort.

As previously reported, Holyfield received a brief week of preparation after being announced to replace Oscar De La Hoya whose comeback was delayed after he was hospitalized with Covid-19.

In the match that took place at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, Sunday (12/9), Belfort immediately launched an attack from the start of the match.

It seems that the attack by the former MMA fighter made Holyfield cornered. The climax, when Belfort managed to release an uppercut that hit Holyfield’s chin. Actually, Holyfield had woken up. However, the referee decided to end the fight and give Belfort victory.

“I wasn’t hurt. It’s kind of sad. This is what it is; I thought it was a bad call, I don’t think the referee should have stopped the fight so quickly,” Hollyfield said as reported by the Mirror.

Despite losing by knockout, Holyfield still hopes to lure Mike Tyson into a trilogy fight with an impressive display against Belfort, who is 14 years younger than his opponent.

If Holyfield challenged Tyson, then Belfort the victor did not want to lose. The Brazilian fighter challenged the Youtuber who is now a boxer to fight with him,[]
