  • Share – Persija vs PSIS results in the Indonesian League 1 continued party which was held at the Indomilk Arena Stadium, Tangerang, Sunday (12/9) night, closed 2-2.

Persija should have bagged the perfect points in this match, but the 2-1 advantage that was in sight was finally crushed by Rohit Chand’s own goal when he tried to overcome Jonathan Zorrilla’s free kick in the 88th minute.

The match had to be closed with a 2-2 draw, and this was the third match for the Kemayoran Tigers to bag a draw.

In this match, Persija had quite a hassle in dismantling the PSIS defense line. The match was also quite monotonous – especially in the first half, due to the lack of opportunities created for both teams.

Persija even had to wait for 45+1 injury time to break the deadlock in this match, after Otavio Dutra managed to take advantage of Riko Simanjuntak’s corner kick. The second goal of the Kemayoran Tigers was then recorded by Marko Simic in the 49th minute after he received a pass from the middle of the field.

Meanwhile, PSIS managed to catch up with them in the 70th minute, shortly after Jonathan Zorrilla provided a free-kick that was successfully used by the captain, Hari Nur.

PSIS can be proud to finally manage to hold Persija to a draw in the final minutes, shortly after Jonathan Zorrilla launched his free kick towards Andritany’s goal. Unfortunately, Rohit Chand, who tried to guard Persija’s goal, actually scored an own goal in the 88th minute and made PSIS equalize 2-2.

The addition of one point is not encouraging for the Kemayoran Tiger team, because they failed to skyrocket to the top and are still in 14th place with a collection of two points. Meanwhile, PSIS is still in fourth position with four points.

The course of the match

First round

Both teams tried to appear pressing since the beginning of the game. Especially Persija who appeared as the host, because they only bagged two points from a draw in the first two matches of this season.

Unfortunately, despite several attempts to threaten PSIS’s goal, the Kemayoran Tigers have always been dammed by PSIS players.

In the 18th minute, PSIS got a free kick opportunity. But Hadi Nur’s long-range shot fell right into Andritany’s arms.

Until in the 18th minute, Persija had three corner kick opportunities. However, none of them were successfully used to break into the opponent’s goal.

In the middle of the rain that fell in the middle of the first half, Riko Simanjuntak managed to dribble closer to the opponent’s goal. However, this attempt was thwarted by the PSIS defender.

Likewise when Persija got a corner kick opportunity. Otavio Dutra who managed to head the ball failed to find it in the goal of Jandia Eka Putra, while he also had a foul on an opposing player while fighting for the ball.

PSIS got a golden opportunity to break the deadlock in the 38th minute, when they were awarded a free kick which Dewangga tried to exploit with his left foot. But the ball from his shot that twisted towards the Persija goal was pushed over by Andritany. FAIL!

GGOOLL!! The hard work of the Kemayoran Tigers finally paid off in injury time, when Otavio Dutra managed to net Riko Simanjuntak’s corner and put Persija leading 1-0.

Second round

Persija Jakarta, who had the ambition to score an additional goal after the break, finally managed to double their collection through Marko Simic’s feet in the 49th minute.

The Croatian managed to receive a pass from the middle of the field and dribbled alone, then fired at Jandia’s goal from the penalty area. GGOL!! 2-0 For Persija Jakarta!!

Just two minutes later Osvaldo Haay was trying to score the ball into Jandia’s goal. But his shot just hit the crossbar! FAIL!

Behind 2-0, PSIS tried to counterattack into Persija’s forbidden area. But this effort did not produce results, because the ball can be secured Andritany.

The heavy rain that fell in the second half was quite difficult for the players to dribble. However, PSIS actually managed to catch up with them right in the 70th minute, when Hari Nur managed to take advantage of the chaos in front of Persija’s goal shortly after Jonathan threw in his free kick.

The ball that went to Persija’s goal actually managed to be pushed over by Andritany, but Hari Nur immediately chased the ball and, 2-1 for PSIS!! GGOOLL!!

Instead of closing the game with their first win of the season, the Kemayoran Tigers conceded in the 88th minute when Rohit Chand scored an own goal as he tried to overcome Jonathan Zorrilla’s free kick. GGOOLL!! PSIS also managed to hold Persija 2-2 at the end of the match.
