Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Zainudin Amali was present at the second week of Liga 1 2021 match between Arema FC vs. Bhayangkara FC, Sunday (12/09/21) at Pakansari Stadium, Bogor. He reviewed the implementation of health protocols (prokes) at the stadium.
The Minister of Youth and Sports said he was satisfied with the performance of PSSI, competition operators, clubs and all of them in implementing the program. In two weeks of the 2021 Liga 1 title, there have been no oblique reports related to prokes violations.
“My first arrival here was to see how the health protocol was implemented, as we have discussed in coordination meetings that have been held many times,” said Menpora, Zainudin Amali after the match.
“Since the start of the competition, I haven’t had time to review it because it was at the same time a working visit to Papua. Then after the preparation for the National Sports Day, now I’m reviewing it,” he continued.
The Minister of Youth and Sports emphasized that the implementation of strict procedures was a guarantee for the continuity of football competitions in the country. Moreover, League 2 will soon be rolled out this month.
“What I have seen, since I came and then watched the match with the implementation of the health protocol, was in accordance with what was presented by PSSI and PT LIB,” said Menpora.
Meanwhile, the General Chairperson of PSSI, Mochamad Iriawan expressed his gratitude to the Menpora who had fought for the competition to resume. He also reported that all activities went according to commitments.
“The activities are smooth, orderly and safe. This is in line with the government’s expectations, namely by implementing strict health protocols,” finished Iwan Bule, Iriawan’s nickname.
Arema FC vs Bhayangkara FC match ended in a draw with the score 1-1. Ezechiel N’Douassel scored a goal for The Guardian and Dendi Santoso from the Singo Edan camp.
