The government has resumed the implementation of the Policy for the Enforcement of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) for the island of Java – Bali until Monday, September 20, 2021.
The Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment as well as the Coordinator of the Java-Bali PPKM, Luhut Binsar Panjaitan, said there had been a lot of progress in controlling the outbreak in the past week.

Recently, said Luhut, the PPKM level in Bali has dropped from level 4 to level 3. However, the prudence of all parties remains important so that positive cases of corona no longer rise.

“In the implementation of PPKM last week, the government finally succeeded in reducing Bali Province to level 3, so that from 11 cities/districts level 4 last week, today the number has been reduced to only 3 districts/cities,” said Luhut when explaining the decision which was broadcast live. via YouTube, Monday (13/9/2021) night quoted from Suara.com.

He said the decline in the level of PPKM in Bali was the result of the cooperation of all parties to maintain the conduciveness of the implementation of PPKM.

He said the decline in PPKM levels in many regions within a week was faster than the government’s estimate.

“This is the result of the speed of vaccination and the implementation of care and protection as well as health protocols,” said Luhut.

However, he said, the decline in PPKM levels in various cities in the past week caused a lot of public euphoria so that sometimes they forgot health protocols.

According to him, such euphoria is dangerous because it can trigger a third wave of positive COVID-19 cases. Previously, the government had resumed PPKM level 3 and 4 status in Java – Bali from Tuesday (7/9) to Monday, September 13, 2021.
