1NEWS – During his career in the film world, Jackie Chan perform countless dangerous action scenes. He once glided from the top of a 21-story skyscraper, fell from a clock tower, and jumped from a snowboard into a helicopter. Due to doing dangerous scenes himself, Jackie almost died several times.

Although impressed as a brave figure, it turns out that there is one thing to be afraid of Jackie Chan. He was scared to see the needle.

“I’ve always been afraid of injections,” says Jackie in the autobiography Jackie Chan: Never Grow Up, Only Get Older. “I’ve never been afraid of anything but needles. Snakes, cockroaches and rats can’t scare me, but I would be afraid to see a syringe. Imagine a needle goes into your flesh and the fluid in the tube is injected into your body…. It’s scary!”

Once while filming the film Spiritual Kung Fu (1978) in Taiwan, Jackie Chan fell and bled profusely. The doctor then prescribes a tetanus shot. While waiting for the injection, Jackie lay in bed on wheels. “As soon as the nurse showed up with the syringe, I was so scared I ran away by pushing the bed forward,” she said.

The nurse couldn’t catch up, but she was apparently surrounded by a lot of people, so she had no choice but to get an injection.

“Before the nurse gave the injection, I had started screaming and screaming. People gathered around me and burst out laughing when they found out why I was afraid of getting an injection,” said the Drunken Master star.
