ACCURATE.CO In recent years, the government has encouraged the strengthening of zakat waqf governance in various aspects, regulations, infrastructure and development are improved every time. The government continues to build infrastructure and human resources for zakat waqf so that both can grow and develop optimally.
The Special Staff of the Minister of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, Abdul Rachman, invites the community to jointly maintain the great vision of Islam as the religion of Rahmatan Lil Alamin, namely making zakat waqf as an important pillar of social justice development.
“Zakat waqf is encouraged to take a role in realizing a better life for the weak, protecting the basic rights of the community which include civil and political, economic and socio-cultural rights,” he said in a webinar of the National Zakat Literacy Festival Vol. Zakat Waqf Literacy YouTube channel, Tuesday (14/9/2021).
On the other hand, according to Rachman, the issue of social development also continues to be developed. Zakat waqf needs to be encouraged to be more active in supporting and implementing social development that is not only oriented towards charitable services but more broadly addressing issues of poverty, environment, gender, human rights, democratization, social drugs, and HIV Aids.
“This is one form of our commitment to national issues that requires the involvement of all parties. Of course realizing good zakat waqf governance must also be supported by an accessible, friendly and fast system,” said Rachman. Then, his party invites zakat waqf activists to provide facilities for people to pay zakat and waqf to make it easier, faster and transparent. According to him, this will be a jariyah charity that will be recorded as the best charity.
“I believe that zakat waqf activists are dedicated and inspiring figures,” explained Rachman.
Finally, he prayed to Allah SWT to bestow His mercy and always build Indonesia into a peaceful, safe and peaceful country. He also prayed that the Indonesian nation would always be kept away from all kinds of disasters, including the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Let us pray for the Indonesian nation to be freed from various epidemics and dangers,” he concluded.
