Luhut Affirms PPKM Continues to be Implemented in Java-Bali Until Covid-19 Cases Are Suppressed
Dream – Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, reiterated that the policy for the Implementation of Restrictions on Community Activities (PPKM) will continue to be implemented in Java-Bali.
This statement was conveyed by Luhut, who is also the Coordinator of the Java-Bali PPKM Handling in response to public questions regarding the end of PPKM in Indonesia.
“The government confirms that it will continue to carry out PPKM at this level throughout Java-Bali,” Luhut said in a press conference broadcast Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment.
Luhut emphasized that the government would continue to evaluate every week to monitor the conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic that occurred in each region.
“Until pressing the confirmation case and not repeating the same incident in the future,” he said.
Luhut emphasized that PPKM is a government tool to control the Covid-19 situation. He stated that if he was released, it was feared that a wave of Covid-19 transmission would reappear as had already happened.
“We have seen experiences in many countries, so we don’t want to repeat the mistakes made by other countries,” he said.
