1NEWS – Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD has been outspoken about the Democratic Party dispute that dragged the name of the Presidential Chief of Staff (KSP) Moeldoko.

According to Mahfud, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) was reluctant to ratify the Democrat chairmanship as a result of the Deli Serdang Extraordinary Congress (KLB).

“What is the law, Pak Jokowi told me,” said Mahfud imitating Jokowi’s question about the legality of the Deli Serdang KLB early last year, on Live Twitter, Wednesday (29/9).

Mahfud explained to Jokowi that the KLB was not valid because those who held the congress were outside the legal management.

“If that’s the case, just enforce the law, it doesn’t need to be ratified, Mr. Moeldoko, even though he is our friend and has political ambitions, said Mr. Jokowi,” said Mahfud.
