Celebrity celebrity at once Founder @ateam.management, Karin Novilda or popularly known as Awkarin, said that currently there are still many assumptions that label investment is only suitable for men, but in practice investment can be done by anyone regardless of gender.
He said, women can also invest, one of which is Crypto investment which is easy and can be done anywhere and anytime. Related to this, Karin also shared tips for potential investors, including women, who want to invest in Crypto.
First, he said, potential investors should understand the nature of the instrument, which often fluctuates in price due to this tweet from the CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk.
“For example, if you want to start investing in Crypto, I think you should first educate yourself first about what Crypto is, how it works, how is it different from stocks, something like that,” said Karin, during the ‘Woman and Financial webinar session. Furthermore, Karin also said that potential investors must have ‘cold’ or ‘cold money’ funds. The term cold money refers to unused money. Because he said, using money for daily needs or emergency funds would be very risky.
He also emphasized that potential investors should not just follow friends for fear of being left behind or Fear of Missing Out (FOMO).
“Then it was clear that if you wanted to invest, you had to use ‘cold money’, meaning unused money. Not an emergency fund either, never use it. Because I think it will be bad investment. Then also reduce what is called FOMO or like wanting to join friends without clear education. Do not let you do not understand the basics of investment itself.
