1NEWS – DKI Governor Anies Baswedan explained that the current government sector also contributes to traffic congestion in Jakarta.
“How much government activities contribute to traffic congestion, no more than seven percent,” said Anies Baswedan in a virtual discussion, Thursday (30/9).
According to Anies, the majority of traffic in Jakarta is used for household and business economic activities.

Therefore, said Anies, although the central government plans to move the capital city to Kalimantan, development in the field of public transportation will continue to be carried out in Jakarta.
“We will continue to develop public transportation,” he said.

Anies Baswedan said that the development agenda towards a greener city will continue to be carried out, one of which is by creating greener and integrated transportation.
“We will continue to carry out this agenda,” he said.
Previously, the government had finalized the IKN Law (UU) and submitted it to the House of Representatives (DPR).
