The result of the Italian League match between Sassuolo vs Inter Milan last night ended with the final score 1-2, had fallen behind in the first half, two goals from Edin Dzeko and Lautaro Martinez’s penalty turned the advantage for Simone Inzaghi’s squad. – Inter Milan recorded their 5th win in Serie A this season after making a comeback in an away win against Sassuolo at the Mapei Stadium, with the final score 2-1.

Simone Inzaghi played his flagship strategy 3-5-2, Lautaro Martinez and Joaquin Correa as attackers. Federico Dimarco started the game on the bench, Denzel Dumfries and Ivan Perisic started as wing-backs.

Sassuolo used a 4-3-3 formation, Berardi and Boga on the wings. Dionisi excluded young strikers Gianluca Scamacca and Giacomo Raspadori from the squad, making room for Gregoire Defrel for his first game of the season.

Boga won a penalty for Sassuolo in the 22nd minute. He beat Milan Skriniar with a pocket in the box, forcing the Croatian into a tackle that stopped his movement. Penalty taker Berardi calmly beat Samir Handanovic, scoring his 108th goal for Sassuolo.

Inter’s victory was marred by controversy just before half-time, with Sassuolo asking Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic to be sent off for fouling Gregoire Defrel.

The referee and VAR chose to ignore the incident, so no reviews, red cards or fouls were awarded. This made Sassuolo furious and felt cheated by the referee.

In the second half, Sassuolo’s performance continued to improve. Boga and Rogerio were dynamic down the left flank, creating several goal chances and repeatedly exposing Skriniar and Dumfries.

Sensing that his team had lost control of the match, Inzaghi made four substitutions with 30 minutes remaining. Trying to improve Inter’s attack, he included Edin Dzeko, Arturo Vidal, Matteo Darmian and Dimarco.

The substitutes immediately changed the course of the game. After a long period of Sassuolo domination, Perisic curled in a long-range cross, towards Edin Dzeko. The Bosnian headed the ball into the net, equalizing seconds after coming on, 1-1.

Just as Sassuolo seemed to be calming down, Consigli fouled Dzeko in the box. Lautaro Martinez the penalty taker scored and put the visitors 2-1 ahead.

Berardi came close to equalizing as time went on, but Handanovic made a quality save and kept the hosts winning.
