The divorce of Jonathan Frizzy and Dhena Devanka is still a hot topic for the public to this day. Ijonk’s uncle, Benny Simanjuntak, is known to defend his nephew to the death.
Not long ago, Benny through the Feni Rose YouTube channel revealed some new facts about Ijonk and Dhena’s marriage. Which, it turns out, Ijonk had struggled to ask his family’s blessing to marry Dhena.
On that occasion, Benny revealed that a number of his family had disapproved of Ijonk and Dhena’s marriage. Which is, Ijonk has lived with his grandmother and uncle for a long time so he must accept the approval of both if he wants to marry Dhena.
“So when he was introduced, my mother was still alive, my mother always said no. So there was no talk of marriage when my mother was alive.” said Benny.
There was even a moment where Ijonk cried asking for his blessing to marry Dhena. At that time, Ijonk still had not received his grandmother’s permission to marry Dhena.
“Until every time Ijonk said, he was crying asking my mom to say ‘Opung let me marry’, then my mom didn’t give me an answer,” he explained.
As a result, there came a moment when Benny’s mother finally agreed to Ijonk marrying Dhena. The reason is that Benny’s mother seems to have had a premonition that she would die.
“He (mama) came to my house,” said Benny.
“He said ‘I don’t think I’ll be that long, son’. I said ‘ah mom, don’t talk like that’, he said ‘yes because I already feel, I just had a dream about seeing you dad.” he explained.
Benny said his mother asked him to let Ijonk marry Dhena. With a heavy heart, Benny finally gave permission for Ijonk to marry Dhena according to the mandate of his late beloved mother.

“(Mama said) ‘Let it go dear. You have to see him happy anyway’, then I said ‘Mom I can’t be sincere, but it’s okay if you say that I will.” concluded Benny.
