The story of a pregnant woman (pregnant mother) was suddenly discussed by the social media world because she gave a testimony of harassment by health workers (nakes) at the Puskesmas.

The unpleasant incident that was experienced by a woman when she was about to give birth was thought to have occurred at a health center in Jakarta.

The incident was told through a video uploaded by a Tiktok account. This video went viral after being re-shared by Instagram and Twitter accounts.

One of them who re-uploaded the event was the Instagram account @lets.talkandenjoy.

Verbal harassment

Through the uploaded images, there are several fragments of stories that tell a pregnant woman being verbally abused.

The woman who uploaded the video shared that her sister, who is nine months pregnant, went to the puskesmas for a checkup before giving birth.

Unfortunately, when he arrived at the puskesmas he was treated impolitely by the health workers.

Even with the firm they convey words that are not appropriate to be conveyed to patients.

There were several midwives there, about 3-5 people all immoral and unethical, and what made me very angry was when they checked the pregnant woman’s opening and said ‘a lot of vaginal discharge’,” the woman wrote in the uploaded video, citing Voice (Hops.id Network) on Tuesday, October 5, 2021).

Then one of the midwives answered ‘IH JORSE’ what?! Is it proper for a medical professional to speak like this?‘ continued the woman.

In fact, they are being looked at as if they are labeled as not a good woman

Furthermore, the pregnant woman also received other insults. She received a negative evaluation by the midwives just because she came alone without being accompanied by her husband.

Again, there were harassing words from one of the health workers who checked the pregnant woman.

Because it’s my own brother, then it’s like being judged if she’s not a good woman,” he wrote.

The midwife used to attack my brother who was sick and crying in pain with the question ‘How many guys have you had sex with, ma’am?” he continued.

The woman claimed to have a piece of video as evidence. He said he could not record any longer because he was threatened by the security guard regarding the law. He also asked for support from citizens to report this case.

Getting various negative responses from the public

“So midwives only make styles like that, there is no conscience to sincerely help the community. Just spill the health center so that the netijen can find out what the name of the midwife is! I want to get in touch,” commented one netizen.

“Even though they are midwives, they should be helping without being picky about people. I don’t remember the oath that was said, it’s sad indeed,” said another netizen.

“I really hate this model of health workers,” commented one netizen.

“Hopefully action will be taken soon,” said another netizen.

“At least make a clarification video,” wrote one netizen.

“It’s crazy to have the opportunity to judge people who want to give birth between life and death of two lives, do you remember being a health worker for what purpose?” another netizen said.
