The Central Government again gives hope that Bali may receive foreign tourist visits on 14 October.
The plan was seriously discussed by Bali Governor Wayan Koster and Forkompinda on Monday, October 4. Also present was the Governor, the Head of the Bali Police, Inspector General. Pol. Drs. Putu Jayan Danu Putra, and Danrem 163/ Wira Satya, Brigadier General Husein Sagaf, who at that time represented the Pangdam IX/ Udayana.

Met Tuesday (5/10) at the Hall of Makorem 163/ Wira Satya, the Danrem said the plan was still being worked out. Bali is currently preparing a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for receiving foreign tourists.

“Actually, the plan is for the 12th (October), but from now until the 12th, the progress (addition of new cases) will be seen,” said Danrem.

Danrem said that the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment of the Republic of Indonesia Luhut Binsar Panjaitan continued to prioritize prudence in opening Bali tourism to foreign tourists. He said, if there was a significant increase, the plan could be cancelled. But if it is seen that Bali is able to reduce the number of additional cases well and can control it, then tourism for foreign tourists will be tested.

“This trial can take one month, if it’s good, it will be implemented. For Bali, this is just a plan, it’s not official yet,” he explained.

In line with the explanation from the Head of Tourism, Danrem said that the provincial government was preparing Standard Operating Procedures. After the SOP has been completed, on October 9, a strict simulation will be carried out.
