“Calleri didn’t find it difficult to score the rabona goal”
1NEWS – Scoring goals is normal in football, but if you can score with the rabona then it’s something different.
Last season, former Tottenham winger Erik Lamela performed well in the north London derby against Arsenal. The former Roma player scored a rabona goal that neither Messi nor Ronaldo could have done.
But long before Lamela carved his name in one of the best goals of all time in the Premier League, Jonathan Calleri, had done it first, for the record, Calleri himself played for West Ham United in the 2016/2017 season.
A few years before joining the Hammers, the 28-year-old spent one season at Boca Juniors.
Calleri scored 21 goals for the club in all competitions in 2014/2015 and he managed to score one of the best goals of the season.
In the match against Quilmes, the striker who currently plays for Sao Paulo made skillful moves in a way that allows him to literally chip the ball past the opposing goalkeeper and into the back of the net.

Calleri’s career peaked during his brief spell with Boca Juniors. He then opted to join Deportivo Maldonado on a permanent basis in 2016 and the 28-year-old forward himself has never played for Argentina’s senior team.
Instead, Calleri has been on loan at various clubs around the world, including Las Palmas, Alaves, Espanyol, Osasuna and his current team, Sao Paulo.
