The three-day holiday period given to the Persija Jakarta squad has ended. The Kemayoran Tiger players have returned to training to face the second series of Liga 1 2021/22, in Bojongsari, Depok, Wednesday (6/10).
In the first series of Liga 1 2021/22, Persija have not been touched by defeat at all. Of the six matches played, the club from the capital city was able to pick two wins and four draws.
This achievement makes Persija temporarily occupy the fourth position in the standings. The 2021 Menpora Cup winner is six points behind Bhayangkara FC, who is at the top of collecting 16 points.
Even so, Persija coach Angelo Alessio, stated that his team was still not perfect. In the remaining time, he will fix all the shortcomings in order to appear more stable in the second series.

The second series was held in Central Java and the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY). Scheduled, the match starts on October 15 next.
“We started preparations today. We are more focused on the physical and some tactical aspects. Apart from that we have to improve a lot of things of course,” Angelo was quoted as saying on the club’s official website.
“We have to improve ourselves to be in various situations. Sometimes we lose focus and concede easily. We also have to improve the pattern of play,” Angelo added.
Apart from the shortcomings that are still visible, Angelo said the Persija players had united. This is what must be maintained to face the second series of Liga 1 2021/22.
“I think our cohesiveness has been very good and the team spirit is great. That is an important thing for us. We certainly have to keep it like that,” said the Italian.
