Liga 3 2021 newcomers, ASIOP FC, are looking increasingly busy ahead of the national round kick-off. They consecutively played three test matches against fellow third-caste contestants who were predicated as champions in their respective provinces.

The details are Maluku FC (the winner of the Maluku zone), Jambi United (the Jambi zone), and PS Siak (the Riau zone). The two clubs mentioned earlier were tested on Thursday (27/1/22) and Friday (28/1/22), while the other one was just the day after tomorrow, Sunday (30/1/22).

As a result, ASIOP FC managed to wipe out the victory, so it is certain that they are ready to fight for the 2021 Liga 3 national round. They beat Maluku FC with a score of 3-2, then Jambi United was bent 1-0.

The trial match against Maluku FC and Jambi United took place at the ASIOP FC headquarters which was recently inaugurated, namely the ASIOP Training Ground (ATG) Sentul, West Java. The final agenda versus PS Siak will be held at the National Training Youth Center (NTYC) field in Sawangan, Depok.

Successive victories in test matches ahead of the 2021 Liga 3 national round were grateful for the ASIOP FC manager, Chandra Syarief. He is optimistic that his team can do a lot even though they are actually debutants this season.

“The results of our trials won twice over Maluku FC and Jambi United. Hopefully it can be useful in preparation for the kick-off for the 2021 Liga 3 national round,” said Chandra when he was met by the editor of INDOSPORT sports news in Sentul, Friday (28/1/22).

Just a reminder, ASIOP FC stepped into the 2021 Liga 3 national round thanks to the DKI Jakarta zone runner-up label. They accompanied the champion, Batavia FC, and another representative of Union Makes Strength (UMS) as the third place.

ASIOP FC’s achievement in Liga 3 2021 is surprising because it is a debutant this season. They have just registered as members of the PSSI South Jakarta Askot, after previously focusing on building a fairly well-known academy in DKI Jakarta.

“Our squad is 50 percent of the academy graduates. Only a few positions that really need to be patched, we open selection from outside ASIOP. Our goal is to produce our own products,” said Chandra Syarief.

In the 2021 Liga 3 national round, ASIOP FC is known to be in Group C with three other clubs, namely Persikab Kab. Bandung (West Java), 757 Riau Islands (Riau Islands), and Karo United (North Sumatra).

All Group C matches will take place at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, Bandung, with Persikab as the host. There has been no information from PSSI as the competition operator regarding the complete schedule for the 2021 Liga 3 national round.
