The Covid-19 pandemic has changed many things, one of which is going home for Eid. In 2020 and 2021, the Indonesian government prohibits its citizens from going home. However, this is different from 2022 because the government has begun to loosen restrictions related to homecoming rules.

Even this year, the government finally set a schedule for Eid leave and joint leave of up to about a week. However, there are still Eid 2022 travel rules that must be followed. What are the conditions for the 2022 Eid homecoming set by the government? Check out his review below.

Eid is estimated to fall on May 2 or 3, 2022, so the Indonesian government has designated both days as national holidays. The policy was decided through a Joint Decree (SKB) of the 3 Ministers in 2021. In addition, the government also set a joint leave of Eid 2022 as much as 4 days. The total Eid holiday starts from April 29 to May 6, 2022. The Eid 2022 joint leave applies to all people, but sometimes private companies have their own policies.

Conditions for going home for Eid 2022

Although the government allows Indonesians to go home this year, there are a number of conditions that must be met. More precisely, the requirements for the vaccine are for the 2022 Eid homecoming. The 2022 Eid homecoming requirements for domestic travel are categorized based on vaccine receipts. Starting from those who have not been vaccinated at all to those who have had a booster vaccine.

For Indonesian people who have not been vaccinated due to certain diseases such as comorbidities, they are required to show a negative PCR test within 3 × 24 hours before departure. In addition, include an official certificate from the hospital explaining that you cannot be vaccinated.

Indonesians who have been vaccinated once are required to show a negative PCR test result 3 × 24 hours before departure. Meanwhile, if you have been fully vaccinated, 2 times, you must still show a negative antigen test result 1×24 hours or PCR negative 3×24 hours before departure. Especially for Indonesian people who have had booster vaccines or 3 times, they are not required to show negative test results.

Different conditions apply to children aged 6-17 years and less than 6 years. Children aged 6-17 years have not been able to receive a booster vaccine, so they must run a negative test. While children aged less than 6 years, it is not mandatory testing because they have not been vaccinated. However, they must be accompanied by an adult who has met the requirements for the 2022 homecoming trip.

Rules for taking public transportation when going home for Eid 2022

The conditions for Lebaran 2022 homecoming set by the government apply to travel using public transportation, either by land, air or sea. In addition, people who take transportation such as trains and ships are required to have the PeduliLindung application. The reason is, the vaccination status is recorded at PeduliLindung. In addition, when entering the train station, it is mandatory to scan barcode using CareProtect.

Meanwhile, airplane passengers must fill out the e-HAC (electronic Health Alert Card) which is also available in the latest version of PeduliLindung. After creating an e-HAC account, select domestic travel and air travel means. After that, fill in the date and flight number. You must manually fill in the flight data if the flight number is not found when filling out the e-HAC. You do this by selecting the name of the airline, airport of departure and destination. Then, fill in the personal data that can be for a maximum of 4 people at once.

After completing all the data, a status will appear whether it is airworthy or not. If the status is not airworthy, then you have to do the validation manually. You do this by showing a vaccine certificate and negative antigen or PCR test results listed on PeduliLindung. You can also show physical documents to the KKP (Port Health Office) officers at the airport. The e-HAC charging policy does not apply to children less than 6 years old.

In addition to requirements related to vaccination and negative antigen or PCR test results, travelers must still follow 3M’s health protocols, namely wearing masks, maintaining distance, and avoiding crowds.
